Formula One is enjoying one of the most interesting seasons in recent memory with the likes of Red Bull Racing under serious pressure as they look to defend their number one spot.

With that said though, perhaps surprisingly, it’s Kimi Antonelli that has been stealing the show in recent times, catching everyone by surprise at how quickly he’s bedded in to F1 cars and producing some seriously impressive pace in them.

With their advantages in recent times having narrowed and the task of progressing their car seemingly becoming a tricky one, there were question marks over Red Bull Racing recently. However, Mercedes’ George Russell warned anyone writing them off would do so at their peril with the Milton Keynes-based outfit having the know how and talent within the team to be able to claw their way back thanks to their pedigree.

That being said though, all eyes certainly are on Antonelli at the moment with the driver taking centre stage after his sensational displays. Be it on track, from the media, TV coverage or fans, there’s been a serious hive of interest surrounding Antonelli of late which will no doubt continue moving forwards.

His emergence has been a breath of fresh air within F1 of late with a youthful energy within Mercedes and will be something to focus on the future at the Silver Arrows squad. How the pecking order pans out this season will in part down to how quickly Antonelli continues to progress.
