Lewis Hamilton Leaves Heartfelt Message for Kim Kardashian Amidst Backlash Over Her Viral Moment in Monaco

Lewis Hamilton shared a heartfelt message for his partner, Kim Kardashian, after their first public appearance together in the F1 paddock. However, the beginning of Kardashian's day in the Monaco GP paddock wasn't all picture-perfect.

She arrived with her sister, Khloe, and a horde of photographers swarmed them. But trouble came during the pre-race Sky broadcast when she avoided an interaction with renowned F1 presenter Martin Brundle.

Brundle approached her on the grid and asked, "Kim, Martin Brundle from Sky F1, how are you today?"

The Skims owner smiled at him and the camera, but quickly looked the other way. Moreover, Brundle was miffed by a security detail with Kardashian, who apparently tried to push him away.

"No, you don't need to push me, mate," he said.

While Kim Kardashian received online backlash for this interaction, or the lack of it, her day ended with a sweet message from Lewis Hamilton. The Ferrari driver, who finished second on the podium and shared a flying kiss from the podium, thanked her for her support in the post-race FIA press conference.

"Oh yeah, no, it’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support, but with my friends, incredible turnout just overall with people. And yeah, I don’t really know what else to say. It’s amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day," Hamilton said.

Rumors about their high-profile relationship began in February after they were spotted together on vacation. The speculation went into overdrive when they attended the Super Bowl together. However, Lewis Hamilton refused to comment on their relationship status when asked about it during preseason testing.

Nonetheless, their relationship became official in Monaco, which also saw a history-creating result from the Ferrari star.

Lewis Hamilton Equals Ayrton Senna's Monaco GP Record

On Sunday, Lewis Hamilton earned his eighth Monaco GP podium, equaling the late, great Ayrton Senna's record at the track. The seven-time F1 champion was taken by surprise when David Coulthard informed him about the statistic in the post-race interview.

However, Hamilton's focus was more on Kimi Antonelli and Mercedes' dominance. He hailed the 19-year-old and his Mercedes "family" for doing an "incredible job" with the car and the race.

"Yeah, well, I mean, I have to start by congratulating Kimi and to the Mercedes team, my whole family. They’ve done it again," he said. "They’ve created an amazing car and Kimi’s doing an incredible job, just delivering weekend in, weekend out. So, it’s great to see and I’m really happy for them."

The Ferrari driver, a three-time winner at Monaco, then shed light on the Scuderia's progress, adding:

"On our side, I think we’ve been progressing over the past months and can’t quite keep up with them just yet. And it’s probably going to take a lot of work for us to get to their level. But to get another second place is such a great feeling, especially in Monaco, under the trickiest conditions."

With the runner-up finish, Lewis Hamilton ascended to second in the drivers' championship, demoting George Russell to third. Hamilton trails championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 66 points.
