Indy 500 & Coca-Cola 600 Schedule: Where to Watch, TV Timings, Prize Money, Entries & More
The 2026 Double Duty race weekend is upon us, and fans cannot wait for the biggest day in racing. As both the Coca-Cola 600 and Indy 500 are set to take place on the same day, Sunday, May 24, fans expect the customary tradition of "Back Home Again in Indiana" and "Start Your Engines" before the race.
In Indiana, the event is set to take place in front of over 350,000 people at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, while in Charlotte, 95,000 fans can watch it together. The 2026 Indy 500 prize purse is expected to be around $22 million, and the winner will take home around $3.5-$4 million.
On the other hand, the Coca-Cola 600's prize purse is around $14 million, and the winner usually takes home around $1.1-$1.4 million. A total of 39 drivers will compete in the NASCAR crown jewel race, while 33 drivers will participate in the IndyCar's marquee event.
Indy 500 Schedule & Starting Grid
At 10 a.m. ET, the prerace will be broadcast on FOX, followed by the main race at 12:30 p.m. ET. There is a 20 percent chance of rain that day, and the temperature is expected to be 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
As for the starting grid, Palou, who was the only driver to breach the 232 mph mark in the final combined qualifying results, will lead the field to green.

5 hours and 30 minutes after the Indy 500 start and roughly 2.5 hours after it ends, the Coca-Cola 600 will start.
Coca-Cola 600 Schedule & Entry List
NASCAR is all set to host the 13th points-paying race weekend of the season at Charlotte, and the primary focus is going to be the crown jewel, the Coca-Cola 600. It is going to be a 400-lap race contested for over 600 miles.

On Sunday, Amazon Prime will broadcast the prerace at 5 p.m., followed by the main race at 6 p.m. The Cup Series race is set to be in four segments, 100-100-100-100. The weather forecast says around 80 degrees Fahrenheit and a 60 percent chance of rain.
