Terry Crews was one lucky man, or at least that is what he called himself recently after a ride at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with retired NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson. A Motorsports fanatic throughout, the former NFL player-turned-actor recently enjoyed Formula 1, NASCAR, and IndyCar, all in a short span of time.

Crews, who is hosting a new series of Cadillac's F1 entry, recently shared his varied motorsports experience this year. Speaking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Friday, the actor said:

"I'm from Flint, Michigan. I'm born and bred American cars all the way. And with two of my favorite things together, I knew I had to be involved (with Cadillac). And then I started to go to NASCAR. Man, I've been hanging with Carson Hocevar, Daniel Suarez over at Spire Motorsports in North Carolina."

Besides the F1 commitment, he spent time with Jimmie Johnson, who drove him around in a two-seater car a day before the Indy 500 on May 24. Terry Crews was a guest in Andretti Global's garage.

"And then I go to the Indianapolis 500 and the best finish in years, brother! One of the best things I've ever seen in my life."

Crews shares a special connection with General Motors, thanks to his father, who worked for the company. As a result, he grew close to them and their subsidiary companies, Cadillac and Chevrolet, in this case.

Moreover, Cadillac, Spire Motorsports, and Andretti Global are all owned by TWG Motorsports. Thus, facilitating such crossovers.

"Jimmie Johnson, the day before that race took me around in a two-seater in the Indianapolis Speedway, brother. Let me tell you, I got emotional. Because let me tell you, as a young boy, there's only a couple of dreams you have when you're like five years old. The one is a cowboy. And the second one is a racecar driver. Dude, I was like, I'm living this dream right now," Crews added.

Jimmie Johnson was present at the Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this time around because of Legacy Motor Club's association with Arrow McLaren for the race.

Moreover, Crews also showed ample interest in Cadillac, after the American company (also owned by General Motors) formed a new team in Formula 1. It became the 11th team in the competition, and the second American team on the field.

Terry Crews Delighted With Cadillac's F1 Entry

Terry Crews was one among many motorsports fans who welcomed and praised Cadillac's entry into Formula 1, the most followed racing series in the world. To get to document the GM-backed project's journey as host of an 18-part YouTube series has been more of a delight for him

Here's what he said in the same interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio:

"I've been following Cadillac Formula 1 all around the world, Vegas, Australia, Monaco. It's been so fabulous and so incredible to watch these cars. They're like little spaceships, man. And to see this, and I literally fell in love with Formula 1. And then when I found that Cadillac was in it, you know, I mean, that's the American brand."

Cadillac currently operates with former Red Bull driver Sergio Perez and former Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas. They use Ferrari power units and have yet to claim a point so far this season.
