Flat Track competitor Dan Bromley breathed his last on June 27, 2026, after sustaining an on-track injury. The American driver suffered a crash at the Allen County Fairgrounds during the Lima Half-Mile event in Lima, Ohio.

"Few families have contributed more to the spirit and strength of flat track than the Bromleys,” said Gene Crouch, CEO of AMA Pro Racing. “Dan carried that legacy with talent, humility, and a genuine love for the people around him. He was a true champion in every sense of the word."

Hailing from Washington, Bromley was the 2018 AFT Singles champion and the 2025 AFT AdventureTrackers champion. Sharing heartfelt condolences, AMA Pro Racing and the American Flat Track community further shared their thoughts on Bromley:

"He earned respect as a racer, but his impact reached far beyond results on the track. His presence in the paddock made our sport better, and his loss will be felt across the entire flat track community. On behalf of AMA Pro Racing, we send our sincere condolences to the Bromley family during this difficult time," the statement further read, as reported via americanflattrack.com.

The fatal crash took place on Saturday, as fans who were present on the track described it as a severe accident, and the stream replay of that incident was temporarily withheld following the incident.

The 30-year-old's tragic passing caused fans to share their condolences on social media.

Reacting to his death, a fan wrote, "I don’t follow flat track two-wheel racing closely, but as part of the larger racing community, we mourn your passing together. Our thoughts are with your family, friends, and fellow riders tonight. Ride in peace, Dan Bromley."

Another fan wrote, "As a teen, I raced in a MX race where a rider passed away. They canceled the rest of the days races. It was the right thing to do. RIP Dan 🙏."

"No matter the form of racing, a death will always hit the racing community hard, sending thoughts and prayers to the team, family, friends, and fans at the track," wrote another fan.

Another fan wrote, "So sorry ta hear this, sad when we lose a family member to us racers. We are all connected. You know we are."

"Heartbreaking. Too many competitors passing away recently, retired or not. I didn’t keep up with FlatTrack. But my prayers go to his family," wrote a fan.

Kyle Busch passed away last month, and it left the Motorsports world heartbroken. Now, a month later, Dan Bromley passed away untimely.
